Meet Joan Brasher, writer and media relations maven
Joan Brasher is an award-winning communications professional with a background in strategic communications and media relations. She worked in higher education for more than 15 years, where she served as a magazine editor, public information officer and crisis communications specialist.
As an independent consultant, Joan has worked with national nonprofits, retail coffee chains, start-ups and big box stores. Her services include writing news releases, web copy, catalog copy, blog posts, customer emails, packaging copy and grant proposals. She also serves as a Red Cross disaster response volunteer. Her current favorite coffee order is 8th & Roast's salted caramel latte with oat milk.
Meet Jean Grant, queen of magical fundraisers and donor development
Jean Grant has over two decades of experience as a development professional in higher education and the nonprofit world in Los Angeles, driven by a passion for education, leadership and community service. She has an undergraduate degree in communications and a master’s degree in leadership studies.
Jean has successfully secured significant funding for such causes as legal aid for immigrants, ending homelessness and employment for at-risk youths. She's an events specialist with a gift for engaging and cultivating donors, with her sparkling soirees raising millions.
Her current favorite coffee order is an Americano with a side of whole cream at Nicole's Gourmet Foods in South Pasadena.
